    The US healthcare industry, primarily health insurance and the pharmaceutical industry, is negligent and downright greedy! I learned that approximately fifty million Americans are uninsured while the rest who have insurance could become and are “victims of insurance company fraud” (Moore). If you are of a certain age or have health problems, health insurance will deny you no matter what. THE IMPACT OF THE PATIENT PROTECTION AND AFFORDABLE CARE ACT ON THE MIDDLE CLASS. CIRSIS AND THE NEED FOR HEALTH CARE REFORM. HOW WILL THIS AFFECT THE MARKET?The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, PPACA, more commonly known as "Obama Care," signed by Obama in 2010, is a health care system that requires insurance companies to cover all applicants and offer the same rates regardless of pre-existing conditions or gender, among other benefits (wiki). There are many pros and cons to this new health care reform that has people rebelling against it while others beg for a healthy future. After doing some research, I discovered that in 2014, thanks to Obama's care, millions of Americans will have access to reliable, high-quality medical care, protecting patients from insurance abuse and providing our people with a better and healthier future. The PPACA provides benefits to low- and middle-income families and businesses while raising taxes on the upper classes, to technically support the cost of others who are disabled and/or unable to afford health insurance. I discovered that the average American has a lot to gain and little to lose, while earning more could have a negative financial effect; Ultimately, all Americans will have additional protection when it comes to their health care.
