  • Essay / Example from my personal diary - 831

I thought I could just find a place, pay the deposit and hang the sign. I was so excited to receive the keys, start decorating my space, and have my grand opening. So I got the keys, I started painting hanging pictures and I have so much confidence in myself. After a few weeks of decoration, I arrive at the inauguration, it is finally here. On the first day, my friends and family come to show their support and see the beauty services I offer. It was a great opening and a strong participation. I let it be known that I was in the area and expected customers to flock. I had flyers printed, my sign was up, I was on every social media site known to man. Well, after a month my rent was due and all the money I made was going to be rented. I was fully aware that this was going to be the case for the first two years, that I wouldn't make any profit just on what I had enough to pay my salary and that it was practically nothing after all the expenses. The second month came and the rent was due again, but this time, not having everything done, I had no choice but to draw from my own pocket. Month number three, four then fifth, things weren't going well for me. I had $10,000 hanging over my head, coming out of my pocket just to cover my expenses.
