During the Romantic era, many British writers captivated audiences around the world. Today, there are a multitude of British writers whose works are considered legendary. One of the dominant writers of this era was that of Jane Austen. His literary works exceeded greatness. Jane Austen won the hearts of writers around the world with her English-derived stories, her comical and witty writing style, and her ability to draw conclusions from her personal life in her novels. Jane Austen was born on December 16, 1775 to George and Cassandra Austen. . His mother, Cassandra Austen, was born into a high-ranking family. But after marrying Mr. Austen, she began a very domestic life. Her father, George Austen, was a reverend and sought to be of a lower rank than his mother, but he managed to care for the growing family by working several jobs, some of which included farming and vicarage. Austen was the seventh of eight children and the second and youngest daughter (www.janeausten.org). Living in a lightly populated house was not as difficult for Austen. She had formed a very close relationship with her older sister Cassandra (named after her mother Cassandra), her father and her brother Henry. Because the Austen family was considered middle class, her father and mother spent a lot of time trying to provide for their large family, but they did not let their circumstances alter their family life. The Austens engaged in many artistic and creative family activities, valuing creativity, openness, and, above all, dialogue (www.janeausten.org).
