Alcohol and rape: two terms widespread on all American university campuses but which nevertheless seem hidden, masking their true omnipresence among students. According to a 2009 study on sexual assault on college campuses, 20% of female students will be victims of sexual assault before their senior year. The same study suggests that nearly 80 percent of these assaults involve alcohol (Krebs 640). Third wave feminism thus changes our own personal feelings as women, because we have already made progress toward social and gender equality. We have the power, women just need to recognize and use these abilities. Works Cited Krebs, Christopher P., Christine H. Lindquist, Tara D. Warner, Bonnie S. Fisher, and Sandra L.
