When you get rid of an old computer, it must be disposed of properly, otherwise it can harm the environment. Instead of throwing away the computer, it can be reused, refurbished or recycled (Saha, 2014, p. 48). This means donating or selling old computers to those who need them, repairing old computers so that they can be used, or even using old parts from the computers (Saha, 2014, p. 48). Although green computing has many environmental benefits, it also comes with some risk factors. For example, green computing is a very expensive concept. Global warming in general often contributes to people finding cheaper ways to do things despite its environmental effects. A big problem would be convincing customers to spend their money in order to save money in the long run.
