But it's for some and they deserve the right to be in control. Personally, I don't know what I would do if I was terminally ill. I have no idea, and I'm sure many of us are in the same situation. There is no way of knowing how we would feel or what we would want. At the end of the day, I think all we want is comfort. We want to feel like we have some sort of control. Sandeen said: “I think it’s about peace of mind. You're terminally ill and you're facing the possibility of quite enormous suffering, and just the idea that you have this [prescription] and that tomorrow you can take it if things get really bad gives you some comfort” (“Assisted Suicide” 2013).
