  • Essay / Jean De Jean Paul Sartre - 1845

Philosophy has been around for a very long time and many famous philosophers have created theories that we use today. In the early 1900s a very famous philosopher was born who we know as Jean Paul Sartre. He was born in 1905, the year the wars broke out. Jean was the only child of parents Jean Babtiste Sartre and Anne Marie Schweitzer. His father was a well-known Navy officer. His father died when he was still a child. He then went to grow up with his grandfather. He began his studies at the École Normale Supérieure in 1924, then graduated in 1929. During his studies, he obtained his doctorate in philosophy. A few years later, he became a professor of philosophy in Le Havre in 1931. He then taught at the Lycée Pasteur located in Paris from 1937 to 1939. When he finished teaching in 1939, he was enlisted in the French army. In the French army, he served as a meteorologist. While serving, he was captured by German troops in 1940. He was captured and had to serve nine months as a prisoner. He spent his time as a prisoner writing. After his release and return to the city, Sartre and many other writers joined a group known as the underground group Socialisme et Liberté. The group actually did not last long, but Sartre decided to continue writing instead of participating in active resistance. Shortly after his theories and writings, he published two of his writings that he had been working on. They are known as "Being and Nothingness" and "Flies and No Exit". The existentialist works that will make him known. In European philosophy, existentialism varies in a completely different way which was mainly by the existentiliist according to Kants...... middle of paper ...... and is a similar idea to that of Kant which is known as the “Kingdom”. of Ends”. In Sartre's eyes, an authentic existence means two things. The first thing it means is a style of existence. Every moment is a source of apprehension and you must be fully aware of the absurdity and fragility of his freedom. Second, there are few minimum content levels for authentic projects. Whatever Sartres' project, it must always be a project of freedom, for himself and for others. Jean-Paul Sartre's theories on life and freedom all interested me. During Sartre's life, he was known for various things. He was known as a French philosopher, novelist, political activist, playwright, biographer and literary critic. We know it most because it is most famous in the philosophy of existentialism. Knowing that he was mainly talking about freedom. We are always free of our own being.
