War can be an ugly thing. This has always existed from ancient times to the present day. Throughout history, war has never been able to end; there have only been small periods of peace throughout the ages. War exists because of the greed of human nature and when someone or something, like a monarch or an empire, wants something, war is usually the solution. Greece, for example, wanted to unite as a country instead of always fighting among themselves as city-states. But that only happened when the neighboring country invaded them while they were fighting against each other. The invading land was then known as the Persian Empire. An individual from another country shot Archduke Franz Ferdinand because he wanted a war, to which Germany declared war on Serbia, leading to World War I. The causes of the First World War are well known. There is a certain acronym that I learned. called MAIN and stands for Militarism, Alliances, Imperialism and Nationalism.
