This call slowly sparked a small change in all the media we see in the world today. One example of this small but significant change is the modern twist on traditional fairy tales such as the 2010 Disney film Tangled. Tangled is a modern film loosely based on a traditional fairy tale from the Brothers Grimm storybook . The major twist in this tale is that the princess saves herself and her man, unlike the traditional fairy tale of the prince saving the princess like Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Snow White, etc. The timing of this film's release is no coincidence, as in recent years many people have become aware that the traditional bedtime stories they tell their children feature men and especially men. women in a very specific way that is not always the most flattering for either gender.
