It represents the beauty and childhood of the princess. She loses it in the fountain and is desperate to get it back. The golden ball is what the princess treats the most and it means everything to her. In today's society, beauty is important to some people who will do anything to be "beautiful." While others struggle to be accepted for their appearance. In "The Frog King", the princess suggests that she will give the frog anything in exchange for his balloon. She doesn't care about her pearls, the clothes she wears and even her precious crown (DL Ashliman). She is willing to give him anything because these material things are not important to her, but his ball is. She soon realizes that material things don't take you as far as you would like. The princess begins to realize that these things don't matter as much. When the frog turns into a handsome prince, the princess marries him and they live happily ever after. The moral is that we shouldn't judge someone by their appearance. We must take the time to understand people as they are and accept
