In Israel Horovitz's production of “A Christmas Carol: Scrooge and Marley,” the characters' minds are transformed into an adventurous journey. The setting is Christmas Eve and a poor man works diligently while the owner, Ebenezer Scrooge, refuses to give him Christmas Day off. Later that night at Scrooge's house, his deceased former business partner, Marley, visits him and tells him to change his ways and that three ghosts will come to haunt him: the ghost of Christmas past, the ghost of the Christmas present and The ghost of future Christmas. They all show him scenes in which Scrooge realizes his guilt and ends up making Christmas a better time for everyone he initially affected. Scrooge changes from a cold-hearted miser to a cheerful and warm person upon realizing his guilt. Ebeneezer is initially cruel and would not give to the needy. Whenever it is simply a question of Christmas, Scrooge simply says, “Bah! Humbug!" (667). It's simply his fault that he chose to live alone and be unhappy. The first thing that declares Scrooge to be a miser is when his nephew comes to invite him on the day of Christmas He refuses, saying: “I would rather see myself dead than see me with your family” (669) Then come men who ask for donations for the poor and ask if the prisons and workshops are full. , and refuses to give anything. Later, on Christmas Eve, three spirits sent by Marley try to change Scrooge's habits. The lesson Scrooge learned needs to be taught to cruel business owners or even people around the world today. They need to learn that you can change if you try, do the little things and show mercy..
