I don't think children should be taught to be ashamed of their beliefs or behavior unless it is harmful to others or against the law. But who determines what are responsible beliefs and behaviors? Let's examine this in more detail by looking at some arguments involving the gamble, the leap of faith, and Pascal's existentialism.
