    I think beliefs and behavior are related. What we believe can and does determine our behavior. Beliefs are thoughts and concepts that we hold to be true and behavior is the action taken. I don't think children should be taught to be ashamed of their beliefs or behavior unless it is harmful to others or against the law. But who determines what are responsible beliefs and behaviors? Let's examine this in more detail by looking at some arguments involving the gamble, the leap of faith, and Pascal's existentialism. I would like to explain my point of view using religion and faith to answer this question. First, let's discuss the faith versus reason argument. Faith and reason will always be in conflict with each other, especially between non-believers and believers of the Christian faith. According to French mathematician Blaise Pascal, there is no rational proof for the existence of God. Pascal, however, argued that it is legitimate to believe in God if one assumes that he exists.
