Environmental Benefits of Hybrid VehiclesIn today's age of science and technology, we care about our environment and find ways to preserve our mother nature . Many countries have conducted numerous discussions and research regarding the future of personal vehicles using petroleum products as a means of energy, such as cars. By using the car incessantly, it risks polluting our mother nature by excessive use of non-renewable oil. Emissions caused by automobiles have caused significant health-related damages and worsened the environment, such as greenhouse effect and noise pollution, etc. How will hybrid cars benefit our environment? First of all, there are some advantages to using hybrid vehicles because they reduce hazardous gas emissions. Worldwide, a lot of destruction has been caused to the environment as majority of vehicles emit hazardous gases such as nitrogen, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide and volatile materials. All these gases can cause smog at ground level which damages our respiratory system and harms the development of organisms. The combustion product of a traditional fuel engine is carbon, which bonded with oxygen produces CO and CO2, gases are released into the atmosphere, such as carbon dioxide which is the composed of CFCs. If too much of these greenhouse gases cause the planet's temperature to rise, destroy the ozone layer, drastically causing a distinct climate change, rightly termed a global warning. The hybrid car is equipped with a special engine with two types of energy sources: traditional gasoline fuels and an alternative fuel source which is an electric or hydrogen plug-in motor. For example, Toyota spent $200 premium to purchase the unused battery and is recycled. Toyota says: Every part of the battery, from the precious metal to the plastic, steel casing and wiring, is recycled. Apart from this, the whole world which is largely dependent on oil. Glimpse of data from the United States Energy Information Administration, Malaysia's crude oil consumption is higher than the production in the year 2008. This is an undesirable result for us due to the scarcity of energy. In the majority of hybrid cars, they are powered by a combination of a traditional gasoline engine and alternative power.
