Essay / Human activities causing and accelerating climate change
Rising sea levels, erratic temperatures, melting glaciers, species extinction and warming oceans are just some signs of global climate change (global warming). This article will track human activities that cause and accelerate climate change. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, also known as NOAA, explains that “climate is the 'average weather' over a period of time ranging from months to thousands or millions of years. NOAA defines global warming as “climate change (e.g., in temperature or precipitation) that occurs over a few decades or less, persists for at least a few decades, and causes significant disturbances in human and natural systems” ( NOAA 1). Excess greenhouse gases in the Earth's atmosphere cause rapid climate change and harm plants, animals and humans. Some consequences of rapid climate change are life-threatening, such as severe heat waves, heavy rains and heavy snowstorms. and more violent hurricanes. In the 20th century, the last two decades were the hottest in the last 400 years, and the hottest in several millennia. According to many climate experts, the worst effects of global warming are yet to come. Climate change has become well established over the past decade (NOAA 1). Science 19th century, industrial revolution, data shows that human activities have intensely contaminated the Earth's atmosphere (Britannica 1). The continued increase in carbon dioxide (CO2) is expected to contribute to major effects on the planet's ecosystem: experts predict that the Earth could warm by an additional 7.2° Fahrenheit during the 21st century if we, as that community, let's not reduce emissions of s...... middle of paper ......ing. Even then, reliable sources of temperature data show no signs of global warming. “Satellite records of temperatures in the lower troposphere (one regional scientist predicted they would immediately reflect global warming) show no warming since records began 23 years ago.” Even though thousands of scientists believe that the climate has not changed at all. over the last two decades. But most of the world would disagree with them. Because there have been a lot of temperature changes and sea level rise and they discovered that CO2, methane and greenhouse gases are the cause of global warming produced by the man. But we have yet to uncover all events related to rapid climate change, what level of environmental restoration will ultimately be necessary, or how the world's nations will share responsibility. In the end, more
