Global warming has continued for several years and is caused by natural and anthropogenic processes. Man has caused far more pollution than natural processes because of everything we do. The overall process of global warming is quite complex and difficult to understand completely. Global warming is classified as a gradual increase in the overall temperature of the Earth's atmosphere, usually linked to the greenhouse effect caused by additional amounts of carbon dioxide, methane and other pollutants. Some of the main greenhouse gases are carbon dioxide, methane, aerosols and nitrous oxide. Most carbon dioxide comes from car emissions, the burning of coal in power plants, and the burning of fossil fuels for other uses. A certain amount of carbon is present in the atmosphere and is part of the carbon cycle. Methane also occurs naturally and is man-made. Cattle in today's feedlots produce most of the methane in the atmosphere due to the high amount of corn in their diet, as corn breaks down in the cows' stomachs. Methane is produced and released. Methane is also released from the ground when drilling oil wells or mining coal. Without human intervention, very little methane would end up in the atmosphere. Aerosols are also a very big problem for the atmosphere and are caused entirely by man-made things. Every day, millions of aerosols are produced around the world and all of this damages the ozone layer. Nitrous oxide is produced in different ways, 62% of it is produced by natural reasons such as rotting vegetation, while 38% is produced by humans and this occurs through the burning of fossil fuels and l 'agriculture. During the life of the Earth, we have experienced 5 major ice ages, which caused mass extinctions and changes to the Earth in general. The...... middle of paper ......absorbed into seawater, this makes less oxygen available to plants and animals and sometimes causes them to die. In my opinion, humans have only had negative effects on the atmosphere. It is a proven fact that the atmosphere has been damaged for as long as humans have been on earth. This is linked to climate change, as the atmosphere becomes thicker and traps more heat inside. Global temperature is increasing at a steady rate of about 0.13 degrees Fahrenheit per year. At this rate, the earth will eventually burn out and nothing will be able to live there. I think this is partly due to natural processes, just like ice ages. Most are caused by humans, in my opinion. Due to increased solar activity, global warming is accelerating. I think as humans we should control our CO2 emissions and help the entire human population for generations to come..
