This course was the core of clinical medicine. Medical specialties were taught in different modules during the 4th year of study. These specialties included: Psychiatry I, Psychiatry II, Rehabilitation Medicine, Tuberculosis and Leprosy, Dermatology, Palliative Care and Medical Ethics. These specialties were taught in 2 semesters and comprised 15 credits. These medical specializations aimed to make students appreciate the discipline of medicine in every detail. For example, the module on tuberculosis and leprosy allowed a student to appreciate the global burden of tuberculosis and the challenges associated with tuberculosis.
