    The three most important things I learned are based on the foundations of systems theory. Communities are made up of a giant system and immeasurable subsystems acting and reacting with each other. When different systems become unstable, needs arise. Often there are so many contributions to a problem; it is very difficult to understand the source of the problem. Rather, the important thing is to accept the relationships between individuals and environments. Communities must recognize that those within the system are responsible for taking the necessary steps to ensure the stability of existence and for intervening to strengthen existing structures (Homan, 2011). The most successful social enterprises heavily involve communities. A meaningful understanding of the functional capacity of a community and the diverse perspectives involved in the community are important aspects to explore.
