Macbeth eventually decided to send someone to Macduff who would kill his family. Doing this would show Macduff that he needs to watch what he does, and it would obviously scare Macduff. step taken by Macbeth to become totally evil. Macbeth ultimately became so evil because he feels like he sold his soul to Satan because of what he did. This makes him think that he is already condemned to spend his hell in the afterlife. All the bad things and crimes he commits after that have almost no moral significance to him. He feels that at this point he should just get all the satisfaction he can out of being the king while he's still alive.
